Meaghan Birakis is a certified physician assistant experienced in general and pediatric dermatology.
Meaghan earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, and her Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Throughout her training, she also completed several rotations in emergency medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. She also earned a fellowship in advanced practice dermatology and belongs to several professional organizations for physician assistants, including SDPA, AAPA, FAPA, FSPS, and ASPS.
Meaghan is returning face to the Rendon Center. Her career began with us as a certified medical assistant, where she discovered her passion for dermatology. Through this experience she gained a well-rounded understanding of the field and chose to further her education and experience by obtaining her physician assistant certification. She has gained a wealth of experience in diagnosing and treating various dermatologic conditions, including skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, rosacea, and eczema, in patients from a multitude of backgrounds.
Meaghan is also a volunteer dermatology provider with The Caridad Center. Here she provides skin exams, in office surgeries, and manages all presenting general dermatologic conditions.
