It can be challenging taking care of our skin here in sunny Boca Raton, but that’s what we’re all about at Rendon Center Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine. Beyond our clinical dermatology, our patients seek aesthetic options because they deliver great results without being invasive.
Two of our hardest working platforms come from Sciton, makers of advanced laser and light sources for aesthetic treatments. These are the Sciton BroadBand Light and the Sciton HALO Hybrid Laser platforms.
What is BroadBand Light?
Unlike lasers, which deliver a single wavelength of light energy, Sciton’s BroadBand Light (BBL) treatments deliver a wide spectrum of light energy. This enables BBL to offer a wider range of treatments, setting a new standard in treating skin conditions. BBL gently heats up the skin targeting specific areas resulting in the stimulation of cells to regenerate and restore your skin to its natural beauty.
Treatment Areas for BBL
BroadBand Light can treat common skin conditions such as age spots, small facial veins, acne, rosacea and more. BBL corrects these conditions leaving you with clearer, smoother, younger-looking skin.
What is the Sciton Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser?
Sciton’s Halo laser is the first hybrid fractional laser. It simultaneously delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths of laser energy to the skin. One wavelength targets the epidermis, and the other targets the dermis. This combination makes Halo a versatile tool for improving a variety of skin conditions with only minimal downtime.
How is the Halo Hybrid Laser different?
The difference between the Halo laser and other lasers is that Halo delivers two laser wavelengths at the same time. One laser targets the epidermis, the skin’s outer layer. The second laser creates fractional channels into the dermis, the skin’s second layer. This is especially effective for removing sun damage, both the damage you can see in age spots and the like, and other damage you can’t see.
