This sclerosing solution will close the vein and allow it to be absorbed into the body harmlessly. Blood that used to flow through this vein will be redirected to other healthier veins and patients will not have to worry about any physical issues resulting from treatment.
Most patients are proper candidates for the procedure. However, there are certain indications, which, if present, may disqualify someone from having the treatment done. This includes patients who are pregnant, have had blood clot issues in the past, and those who may need future heart bypass surgeries.
